Friday, October 17, 2014 - Color: Clear, medium garnet, fading toward the rim.
Nose: Ripe blackberry and black cherry, cola, liquorice, mushroom, earthier than I was expecting and remember from previous bottles. A touch of bret?
Palate: Medium + body, acidity, alcohol with softened medium tannins. Lots of blackberry and raspberry (especially on the rather long finish).
Last bottle of my '07 Three Valleys from the cellar. At it's peak. I think I enjoyed it more in it's youth. Recently compared side by side with the 2012 which I preferred.
Shared this with Adrian L. who really enjoyed it.
