The 2006 didn't blow me away but this vintage is right on the mark. Pale yellow gold in colour with some depth, particularly for a 1yr old. Nose shows a nice sweet citrus tang and a soft hint of oak. Palate is quite tight early with more lemon and citrus, almost a fraction sour, but this soon gives way to a softer, creamy note from oak and perhaps some malo? Makes the transition incredibly effortlessly and shows some class not always evident at this price level.
