Monday, January 25, 2021 - A joy to drink! This was a hearty and extremely very well-made Napa Cab / Bordeaux blend and I found it to be much more profound than most others wine drinkers, probably because of its herbaceous accents. I loved the Cabernet Franc component which really projected spicy elements and tannic structure. Tasted cigar box, cedar, tobacco, and chocolate. This wine reminded me of “old-style Napa” in that it seemed to have a heavy focus on Terroir as it mirrored the depth and luxuriousness of a great Bordeaux, which is unachievable in California, but they attempted and nearly succeeded (Bravo!). It also aimed for high artistry instead of exaggeration of style, or richness, or superficiality. It was worth every penny and it’s at peak maturity now, so I suggest you drink it now.
