Sunday, April 7, 2024 - Cork was wine stained and fell apart upon opening but wine was beautiful underneath. Decanted 2 hrs, nose of black currants, plums cherries, violets, caramel, notes of iron and truffles. Palate came together at the end of decant, smooth with no hard edges, still very plentiful and sweet dark fruit with rounded tannins although this wine can go on for at least 5 more years given their potency, secondary and tertiary aromas of forest floor, truffles, caramel, herbs, old cedar and peppery on the finish which is incredibly long. Outstanding!
