Friday, July 21, 1989 - Clear carmine with a brown edge, but strikingly dark for a 1976. Very rich, complex and developed bouquet; really inviting. Good acidity, berries, liquorice and iron. Still a good dose of tannin; the young and sticky are in well harmony with the ripe tannin. Long and creamy aftertaste with cassis fruit. A rich and delicious wine, which for me is now at its peak, but it will definitely last for a few more years.
