Friday, February 6, 2009 - I had a bottle of this a few months ago, and was pretty disappointed, even for the $30 I got these for. This bottle, however, is showing far better. Nice blood red color with a clear hue. Slightly candied nose with violets and cassis. Some cherry up front with faint notes of leather and spice. Hollow in the middle, with resoved tannins and a touch of acid on the decent finish. Clearly the victim of a weak vintage, but glad I grabbed a couple on the cheap.
