Saturday, November 12, 2011 - Inky black color with a nose of very dark fruits and wood. Very nice, somewhat lean texture with good balance and structure, and an unexpectedly long and slightly drying finish. There is a flatness or dullness to the fruit flavor that is certainly not surprising for this vintage. Not a great Georges de Latour, but still a very nice, enjoyable wine. Not going to improve - drink up. Update: After about 2-3 hours, the fruit almost disappears.
