Sunday, March 18, 2007 - Tasted unblinded at Vintages Wines, Ltd. I purchased the wine the same day and presented it in double-blind fashion to the Friday tasting group. Bright disc. Deep ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing a quite intense profile of assorted black fruits, vanilla and underbrush. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity, medium ripe tannins and ripe flavors which mirror the nose. The middle palate is solid but oak steps to the forefront. Long, smooth finish. This wine is quite nice, but a bit over-oaked for my taste.
