Monday, December 13, 2010 - Tasted without a decant. My last bottle of this wine seemed to be losing a little fruit. It must have been bottle variation. This one still has a lot of snap. The nose is dominated by oak. Rich ripe blackberry, blueberry and dark chocolate. Firm tannins and a little pepper on the finish. Really excellent. It is a shame more of the better Washington wines are not available in this market.
