Sunday, August 8, 2021 - The benefit of this app is that we get to taste and rate the wines long after release date and closer to equilibrium and peak. This wine is beautiful having waited. Still a lively garnet colour with a clay rim. Lots of red and black fruit on the nose with an underlying menthol and liquorice note. Beautiful equilibrium of constituents yet still vibrant. Some old world notes on the palate that back up the fruit with cocoa and cigar box, and follows with a solid backbone of cassis. At its peak and will be for a few years.
