Thursday, April 1, 2021 - My penultimate bottle. Dark ruby purple still. Really very little sign of age. Only aggressive swirling brings notes of dark blue fruits and a hint of mint on the nose. On the palate clean and fresh and honest cabernet flavours. No nonsense stuff, like Smith Madrone but with hefty tannic charge still. This is no sipper - it needs food, preferably steak. On this showing, not nearly ready.
