Monday, February 17, 2020 - Drank with Australian Wagyu steak. I’ve been building a vertical in this so was eager to try the first in line before it got too old. Very elegant, quite understated for a CA Cab - perhaps the difference between Alexander and Napa Valleys? Not a big fruit bomb. Beautifully cut the richness of the Wagyu. Decanted for a short while then savored in the glass. Was an absolute bargain with a $25 corkage fee compared to the $195 the restaurant was charging for the 2015.
