Monday, January 21, 2013 - Lovely intense black cherry nose with hints of mushrooms, vanilla, and earth, more of the same on the palate but note medium, soft tannins, opens nicely, will improve with five more years of age, rich medium/long finish, taste twenty times, similar results. Probably earn two to four more points in five years. Note this special 40th anniversary label has the same wine in the bottle as the usual Alexander Valley label.
