Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - Good fruit on the nose and palate, however lacks sophistication of a cab from this area of Napa Valley. Few tannins or hints of spice, or really any traces of elevation terroir you would expect. Nice fire pit wine but not something I would serve prominently with a meal. At the wine.com discount of 19/btl it is a good value, hardly worth the retail price point of 40/btl in what is normally an outstanding vintage.

8/1/2014 10:39:00 AM - Love the description and details regarding relative value...helped me make a (non) purchase decision. Bummer, as the previous vintages of this have been stellar (at times). Dramatic changes in ownership/mgmt do weave their way down to the bottle, unfortunately. Thanks again!
