Thursday, July 3, 2014 - Big and bold, everything you would expect from this Aussie Shiraz. Overall not too bad. Might encourage me to explore a few more similar wines.

Color has a nice purple tint. Aerated and left in the glass ~30 minutes or so. Nose was huge on tobacco after a good swirl and faded to lavender on the second sniff. Palette was big on dark fruit early but also had a bright note, which I didn't expect. The brightness faded to yield candied fruit, tobacco, and vanilla. Finish was average length, bitter, and floral.
