Thursday, March 7, 2013 - Willamette Valley Wines presents: Pinot in the City (City Winery, Chicago, IL): Nose: Pretty and perfumed nose of cherries, spice tones, red florals, and bits of red berries. While it's very aromatic, it is lacking some depth.

Taste: Nice and balanced medium body with medium+ acidity. The acidity is a bit noticeable along with tones of cherries, spices, and red florals.

Overall: This is a very good pinot noir. It shows a lighter side to it with very good balance, but it just slightly lacks some depth. It's a very pretty wine right now and should develop with a few more years.
