Thursday, April 11, 2013 - Decanted 2+ hours prior to this note. Lovely dark berry nose, Vosne spice, deep and dark with some dense richness on the nose. Bittersweet coca, dark spice and maybe a touch of toast. Fruit profile on the nose matches the mouth. Dark mountain fruit, more of the lively backing spice with a bit of toast. Deep fruit flavors and lovely richness, a wine that can stratle the line of density and elegance. While it has great richness and density, it also possesses perfect texture and mouthfeel. Great acidity, nice tannic punch on the back end. This seems like something tht is stacked for some cellar time. An outstanding wine that shows its flashiness in its youth but also showcases its potential for future development.
