Friday, January 26, 2024 - Notes of cedar, tobacco, pencil lead, sweet blackberry, dark cherry, savory herbs, espresso, and subtle forest floor. Pure and elegant. High minerality and salinity. Understated and lighter in weight compared to other vintages. Acidity was biting initially, but it improved over the course of 3 hours. After spending several weeks in Chianti, it seems like many of the top Gran Selezione wines are chasing this style.
