Community Tasting Note

Sunday, January 22, 2023 - Cork in great shape, hardly showing any age at all. In the glass, dark with some bricking, it doesn’t look tired.

However, Overwhelming smell and taste of mildew, and not the good “oh, this is an older wine“ type. Some faint mushroom.
Not enjoyable at all to drink, almost like a science project with this bad mustiness.
I love old wines , and typically some of the best older California cabs have held up, but not this one.
Don’t know if this was just a bad bottle, but not something I would drink willingly..
