Friday, December 31, 2021 - I love the Rock Block series. Each one is different by design. This opened with a nose of ripe raspberry and cherry which was indicative of what was to come. This was full of bright red fruit, a hint of cedar and a touch of licorice. This was full bodied, very fruit forward, not mysterious or brooding. After breathing for 60 to 90 minutes, this still had an astringency to it. But after 2 hours the astringency blew off to reveal a smooth, nicely balanced wine. The experience at 2 hours, leads me to believe this is not going to improve any so drink up.
