Thursday, May 27, 2021 - Striking nose of dark cherry, damp earth, mushrooms, flowers, and a subtle animal characteristic. Dark Cherry dominates the palate, but transitions into savory nuances of mushroom, dried herbs, iron/cured meat, and a nice saline quality. A rustic Pinot paying homage to Burgundy. Med bodied, medium acidity, and very delicate tannins round out the finish. One of the best Oregon Pinots I've had. I feel as if this just entered it's prime drinking window, but easily has a few more years to go. Wish I had more.
