Tuesday, April 28, 2020 - I feel that I am being generous with my score. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great wine but expectations were quite high. About a one hour decant and it needed about a day. Gift from restaurant owner as thank you. It has intense Australia flavors like many Syrah blends. Would really have liked to take bottle home but felt obligated to enjoy at table. It was second bottle of night and first was big cab of Howell mountain. May have also influenced my take.

12/13/2021 10:22:00 PM - Man, that's a tough call; it was given as a thank you for something you did, so on one hand I would say no problem in putting it aside in my bag at the table, bigly thanking the giver, and then graciously ordering a second bottle of something from the menu. On the other hand, context matters, and so I wouldn't blame you either way! What a great problem to have though.!
