Sunday, February 4, 2018 - Big and custardy. Individual fruit notes seemed to be locked into the richness. I’ve read from several sources that marsanne/ rousanne-based wines enter a dumb phase about four years from harvest and emerge with renewed vitality ten years thereafter. Even this producer’s website seems to hint at that. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a 15-year old white Rhône wine, so I can’t say.
