Monday, January 26, 2015 - J Mac brought this to a tasting I hosted. The bouquet features the black earth, funk, smoked tobacco, and crude oil 'thing' typical of this chateau, but in a lighter more charming style than other vintages. Bracing and lively mouthfeel, excellent depth, rounded. Dusty-to-grainy tannins make their presence known at the mid palate through a substantive finish. Powerful!
