Smell dark berry fruits, vanilla and oak. Taste is consistent throughout, and smooth. There's dark cherries, some strawberries and some of the oakiness, but it does not overpower. Good balance. Light to moderate tannins. Drank each glass after aerating. Nice right out of the bottle. Did open up some more with each glass, however, I really question whether this wine will evolve more over time. Classic claret, indeed, pretty good for a claret.
