91 Points

Saturday, August 13, 2011 - Pale yellow in color. 14.1% alc, yet legs form quite slowly. I smell initially a lively citrusy twinge, followed by rich, sweet pears and a nice spiciness that is mouthwatering. The mouthfeel is a bit round and medium bodied, with more pears (a bit muted), apples, and white pepper, with ample acidity to add to the medium-length, pleasing finish. A little less piercing and alcoholic than a year ago, the wine is drinking quite well now and should last another year with no problem.
