Monday, May 6, 2024 - From a friend's cellar, this was had immediately after a 2008 Kay Block 6 and a Hensckhe 2008 Tappa Pass, and at the margin just shaded them for wine of the night. Slightly darker, riper fruit than the Block 6, but on the right side of being too dark/black. Lovely richness and weight in the palate, and a very long finish. For me, this is probably near the peak but it will surely hold for some years to come.
