Thursday, September 14, 2023 - Hard to call this blind as an Oz chardonnay because it's more in line with Burgundy than anything else. Not a bad thing, not tied to the idea that it *needs* to display something overtly Yarra Valley when the wine is this good.

Acidity is high but not OTT. Lots of lemon, lime, grapefruit flavors on the palate. Some matchstick on the nose which is really pleases me.

I think this could go a loooong time before declining. Is probably 3-5 years away from peak.

Update: day 4 and this has put on weight and texture. 94+.
