Saturday, July 29, 2023 - Ride to a wine dinner with friends. My favorite red of the night. Double decanted. Minimal breaking. Plenty of sediment. Little angular and punchy on first pour. Several hours later settled down nicely. Lots of earth on the nose still bright fruit and fresh acidity on palate. Good complexity on taste. good with food. Tannins still notable. Much more refined on night too, still very much alive. A joy to drink. Plenty of life left in it.
