October 13, 2016 - Golden straw colored, medium bodied, nicely balanced acidity with amazing aromas and flavors of peach predominate with tones of citrus, hints of passion fruit and mango on a tangy moderate finish.

December 20, 2013 - Worried that it was past its prime, but even today this was lovely.

September 5, 2012 - Not a huge fan of SBs, but this was quite nice. Smoother and creamier than you typically find, and I agree that it didn't have a strong grapefruit taste. Citrus is there except it's in the background, bracing this fruitier wine. Also, very little of that "unique" SB bouquet. If I didn't know better, I would speculate there might be some vigonier blended in. Nice. I think this wine will actually work with a broader range of food than many SBs. And sips well.

June 15, 2012 - Still one of the best Sauvignon blancs you will find. Notes of tropical fruit, honeysuckle, green grass, & citrus. Nice creaminess on the mouthfeel & good acidity. Getting none of the grapefruit that is typical of Sauvignon Blanc that others are experiencing here. None.

May 26, 2012 - Medium yellow in color, with a strong nose of grapefruit and lemon zest, softened by a creaminess in the upper register. Flavors echo from the nose, with a striking freshness, lively acidity, and a medium-length finish that is tight from the acid, yet smooth from the chalkiness/creaminess, all at the same time. A bit pungent for my ultimate liking, but this is a very nice SB to revive yourself on a hot summer day.

January 21, 2012 - I'm not usually much of a winter SB drinker, but I opened this up for company by request. Very nice and crisp with an obvious grapefruit prolfile. I remember another vintage with a lot of tropical character but this didn't have that. A lot like a NZ version but not grassy.

December 15, 2011 - Pale straw yellow in color. Nose of intense, over the top pure pink grapefruit, with a slight grassy quality. Almost stings the nose initially with a "cat pee" nuance, found in some Sauv Blancs, but then followed by a creaminess on the backside. Interesting already. The flavors of this wine are straight-up pink grapefruit, with laser-like precision. The acidity cuts like a knife, and this wine is so precise in its delivery and so over the top that I think it would be a hard match for food. Very NZ-esque in my opinion. There is a peppery quality to the mid palate, with a concrete-and-grapefruit finish that is medium length, and quite nice. Overall I like this wine, but more refreshing by itself and as a conversation piece.

August 7, 2011 - 100% sauv blanc. 9%concrete egg (adds viscosity and aroma intensity, 23% French, 68% stainless. Big and rich, but not sweet. Gordon's Valley fruit mostly.
