January 6, 2023 - Opened 1hr ahead of time. Slight muskiness at the beginning, but disappeared after a bit. Ruby/garnet center with minor bricking on rim. Sour cherries, forest floor, dark fruit, tobacco. Alcohol stands out at this age, but does not take anything away from the wine. Continued to improve over several hours. Near end of prime.

July 16, 2021 - This isn't bad - I just had a glass of the 2006 Castell CCR, so not doing this wine any favors in terms of placement, but that said, very drinkable. Decent acidity, with savory red & black fruit on the palate. Very different than the Castell, but pleasing to drink in it's own way.

January 17, 2021 - Opened nicely with 1-2 hour decant. Nose was dark berry

Color is a dark ruby red with a pale brown legs.

Soft tannins with black licorice and smoked leather. Second glass on its own then the rest of the bottle was with Pene meat sauce with cheese. Paired like an Italian meal should. I think we’re on the end of its life but still so enjoyable.

Ended up enjoying decanted bottle over 3 hours and it continued to improve to the end...

December 28, 2019 - Lovely. Starting to brick a little. Mushrooms and dead leaves with some dark plums on the nose. Palate is plums and strawberries with a hint of sour cherries. Still in balance with some tannins and acidity for structure. Still has several years ahead.
