Community Tasting Notes 1

January 21, 2010 - Half hour breathing in the bottle, 13.5% alcohol, served at room temperature

Colour: dark with a ruby rim

Nose: Nice and clean, plums, fruitcake, a little chocolate with just a slight amount of dirt

Taste: A little candied and definitely new world. Bursts of red fruit, vanilla and spice. Not much complexity here, but enough for newer drinkers. Finishes a little thin, slightly bitter and with a little bit of heat. Mouthfeel was quite full and velvety.
