January 16, 2023 - Still huge, but has gained finesse with age. I was really impressed with how well this one has aged. Dark fruits dominate and the tannins have pretty much melted away. We had with chili, but I kept wishing we had paired it with a juicy steak!

July 5, 2020 - Consistent with earlier review notes, "this 2007 vintage '9' is dark, big, full bodied and concentrated. It is not as complex or polished as some of the other vintage releases. In addition to the black berry fruits accented by mocha, tobacco and leather, there is a layer of graphite in this that has a slight edge that tends to detract from the fruit."

August 16, 2019 - Outstanding nose and a delight to drink. Some blackberry tones and beautifully balanced and silky. Exceptionally nice, and despite being 13 years old was drinking perfectly. Unusually for a wine of this age, contained almost no sediment. A brilliant wine. Really wish I had more!

(Marquis Phillips #9 Shiraz) TIE; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-this is the Aussie wine; this gets over-the-top almost dessert like; melted down Twizzlers; very candied with some Port-like nuances; PALATE-this is like dessert wine; this is in your face fruit bomb; rich, bold and over-the-top, but simply too much for me; just not my style, but not bad for what it is; and many like this style and would give it 90 points; I feel I can get this for $15 all day long; JM-91; GV-83
