March 16, 2013 - A Saturday at Linden (Linden Vineyards - Linden, VA): Gorgeous, layered, and exceedingly complex aromas of dried apricots, candied citrus peel, white flowers, poached orchard fruit, and beeswax. The palate is wonderfully concentrated and filled with smokey peaches, tropical fruits, lavender, and honeysuckle. Fresh, lively acidity lifts finishing elements of dried tropical fruits, cinnamon, and ripe tangerine. This is one of the finest Late Harvest Vidal that we have tasted form Linden. Fantastic effort with plenty of life left. Drink or Hold. R&M91

June 4, 2011 - 30th Birthday at Palena; 6/2/2011-6/5/2011 (Palena, Washington, DC): N: Lychee, a little funk, and honeysuckle.
P: Persimmon, lychee, honeysuckle, little spice and chalk???
F: Long finish and nice mouthfeel
Overall this wine was a little outclassed by the HL which made it seem weightier and lacking aciidty that I haven't noticed prior.

June 3, 2011 - Brett's Epic Birthday Tasting (Palena - Washington, DC): very aromatic, showing honeysuckle and white flowers. not as much acid as i'd like, but the rich apricot and honey flavors are great.
