January 9, 2024 - Mature. Browning, red fruits and some tobacco. Tannins totally resolved. Slightly out of balance due to acidity, but not enough fruit. Very enjoyable.

December 3, 2023 - This example of the GdlT still shows a mass of dense black fruit alongside pencil and wood smoke. Ever so slightly oxidized in the mouth but still drinkable; the only question is how much better this would have been without it. A pristine bottle.

November 12, 2018 - Well past its best days, the wine is light, sharp, bright and overly acidic. Still, if you look hard enough, you still find some vestiges of fresh red fruits, earth, tobacco and herbs. Drink up if you have any, as this is not going to further decline from here.

May 29, 2007 - Dinner at Bern's with Bruce and Maynard. WOTN. Had a real funky nose at the beginning but that blew off fast. What depth, what structure, what marvelous fruit still present. Wow, we were all impressed. I'm going back for their last bottle!
