April 7, 2024 - This is a deep violet colored wine. The nose is expressive with raspberry and sagebrush. The wine is fruit forward on the palate with raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, and peach. The body is rich and the consistency is silky, and it all comes together with a persistent finish. Overall this is a good varietal wine with fine tannins. This particular Carlisle vineyard is among my four favorites along with Bedrock, Mancini, and Saitone.

October 14, 2023 - Popped and poured over 2 hours. Big bold brambly nose, very fragrant and fruit forward, flavors are of bramble with a hint of vanilla and wood, luxurious mouthfeel with a long finish, low acid and low tannins this is a very bold zin, not for the afwe for sure but at the same time wasnt too over the top. The only thing detracting from my enjoyment was this hint of wood that would show up at times perhaps it will fade in a couple years otherwise I’d say drink up.
