December 6, 2023 - Very good, balanced and fullbodied, matches very well with elk.

August 26, 2023 - Developed, almost mature nose. A bit clumsy. Dark fruit, ink, coco-nut oak. Hints of perfume. Full but four-square.
Fullish palate. Generous and rich, but a bit un-balanced. Coco-nut oak a bit disjointed from fruit. Lacks Margaux elegance. Perhaps over-extracted?
Tasty wine, but would not hold on to this.

April 7, 2022 - Crimson red with a bit of menthol and mustiness on the nose, slightly coarse tannins, dark red fruit, seems quite sharp and seemed a bit too oaky for my liking. There was some discussion at the table as to whether this might have been an off bottle, however it didn't seem technically faulty.

October 28, 2021 - Medium-bodied, firm, bright, fresh and crisp, the wine is better on the earthy, cherry, currant, tobacco and leafy nose, than on the sharp, bright, savory, crunchy palate.

December 26, 2020 - Powerful and complex, clay, wet earth, cassis, oxidative. Palate: tilled earth, fresh dark cherry, rose, smooth mouthfeel balanced tannins and acidity, touch of oak on finish. A very good wine.
