September 4, 2023 - Not for the faint of heart. Was looking for a wine that could stand up to spicy pork green chili, and this wine was up to the task. Bold dark fruit, heavy on the alcohol, prominent tannins on opening which faded after a couple hours in the decanter. Good pairing with spicy bold flavors.

August 27, 2022 - Quick decant. No detailed notes. Wonderfully balanced wine with loads of chocolate notes that's perfect for drinking on its own. People wanted to buy more after drinking this last bottle!

October 30, 2021 - Opened and let sit in the bottle for 2.5 hrs. 50% Syrah, 50% Bordeaux varietals. Very dark in the glass, almost black. Nice shot of chocolate and blueberry up front. Pepper notes come next. Very smooth with no noticeable tannin bite. Really enjoyable wine, but it’s a big one for sure. Would go great with a big ribeye.

December 25, 2020 - Crazy full bodied on the nose with black cherries and cedar. Slightly overwhelming on the palate with a lot more deep dark fruits, chocolate and oak. The usual hedonistic Lewis style which definitely has its place, good for Xmas Day apres-ski!

November 20, 2020 - Drank weeks ago. From memory ... hot, aggressive, bold, needs time.
