September 14, 2021 - Soft cork, but kept the seal. At first, it had a black licorice twist to the finish but, over time, developed into a distinct Cassis flavor with a smooth (not soft) finish. Subdued nose. By itself, at opening, it seemed a little over the hill, but it was a delicious pairing with London Broil. Very nice!

January 6, 2019 - Fruit has faded a touch at this stage, but it's still there - plenty of sweet, dark plum/boysenberry character, mature prune fruit, and even some mild tartness on palate. Nice tertiary notes of smoke, tobacco, ash, light herbs etc, tiniest hint of bitter mocha, and dark chocolatey oak notes to tie it all together. Store upright briefly then decant as it had a lot of sediment at the bottom, and drink now for sure.

September 23, 2014 - Merlot-based wine delivers classic black cherry and plum fruit, hints of herb, and plenty of power.
