April 18, 2024 - Heading south since 2022 tasting.
Still some cherry and hints of loam and mushroom but thin on palate and guts. -

May 12, 2022 - dark cherry fruit and some hints of earthy loam on the nose. Deeper color than expected and more weight on the palate. Developed more tertiary characteristics as the evening proceeded. Enjoyed much more than expected. Looking forward to the 2018 and 19. Medium length finish with some acid carrying it on.

August 19, 2020 - Charred (toasted) oak and barnyard on the nose and reserved dark red berries. The charred oak and the fruit make a sweet and tangy impression on the palate. The oak tannins add an element of bitterness. The fruit and acidity fight with the wood, and succeed to come to the front. This will be a great wine and merit a higher score if/when all that wood integrates.

August 22, 2019 - Full nose of cherry currant and huckleberry. Crisp light minerality with deep red fruits and a rushing palate with moderate tannins. A hearty special occasion wine for this tribute bottling.
