March 13, 2021 - Aromas of dark berries. Palate is a little thin, but the acid adequately mops up lamb protein. Best days are behind it now.

August 24, 2012 - Well, I thought this would have been dead based on my last note, but I couldn't be more wrong. This still has great red fruit, tannins fully resolved, acid level is just right this thing is in a really nice place for its age. Drank very well over two days, the wine did not become flabby when it breathed a little. Don't recommend sitting on these much longer, enjoy them while they are in this phase.

August 19, 2011 - if you can drink a whole bottle in 30 minutes then this wine is for you.

April 11, 2011 - Dark red purple color. I really liked the nose on this, quite a bit of earth: ripe cassis, wet leaves, oak. The palate showed pepper, black fruits, oak, dusty drying tannins and an odd quality on the finish, something sweetish or perhaps a stewed fruit. The mid palate was a little thin and the odd quality on the finish detracted from the overall experience. This was disappointing for a Martini Reserve. Perhaps this was a bit over the hill.
