April 30, 2024 - 30 minute decant. Nose shows dark plum, cedar, burnt caramel, and hints of sorrel. Black currant hits fat and wide across the palate with mocha. Turns a bit grainy on the backside, with angular tannins, fireplace ash, a touch of acidity and a lingering oak note. We have an affection for this producer's style, as it was favorite in our early wine drinking years ago. Drink in the next couple years.

January 11, 2024 - The there is something just a bit off with this vintage. Not a lot of strong notes and the finish seemed truncated. Good balance in acidity. Not bad, just not great.

June 14, 2023 - Classic California cab from Alexander Valley. Nice ruby color. Touches of Vanilla on the nose. Ripe fruit. Plum. Blackberry. Black cherry. Light acidity. Velvety texture with good tannins. Medium finish.
