March 2, 2014 - Spent 30 mins dealing w/ a bad, dry cork. Once out, beautiful cab nose, full bodied, nice finish. Pleasant surprise.

December 26, 2013 - Opened and poured through the vinturi and gave off a surprisingly strong, fruity aroma. Tasted and the first sip literally burst with fruit. Surprising, given the light, reddish-brown aged-looking color. Wine settled down right away, however, and the nose mellowed considerably and the fruit dissipated. Time to drink up. A fine Cabernet but at this point won't improve with more age, and except for that explosive first moment, enjoyable but not special.

February 17, 2013 - Good wine but I should have drank it sooner. It's time to drink this.

November 25, 2011 - Not bad but obviously past its prime. Was better with some decanting but not much.

November 11, 2011 - Edges show some age, but the overall color is still strong for a 16 year old. Nose is bright red fruits of red currant and bing cherries. Palate shows a pretty red fruit Cab with hints of cardamom, tobacco, cedar and damp earth. Balance is decent and this is fully resolved and ready to enjoy alongside a nice piece of red meat. This could be a bit 'longer in on the tongue' and bring more dimension than it does, and while it certainly will never win any contest for 'Best in Show', it is what it is: A quiet 'Friday at home with the Missus' and 'just filled 8 bags with leaves' type of Cabernet. (an extra point for 'the effort'). :)
