  March 13, 2021 - So smooth and elegant, lots of sediment but fully mature and a real treat with grilled ribeye steaks. Balanced and medium bodied with a longer finish than I anticipated. Will hunt for more!

  March 26, 2012 - Cocoa powder, roasted hazelnuts and caramel initially on the nose. 1/2 hour later deep grape and plum. Still a lot of backbone and slightly acidic on the finish.

  February 5, 2012 - Suprisingly a very nice wine-- even held for a couple days after opening. Oaky, very nice nose, dark ruby color, nicely balanced, velvety smooth. Still has time (unfortunately I'm out).

  April 8, 2009 - Opened an hour before dinner. First taste was a mouthfull of smokey fruit. What a wondefull flavor. The finish was delightfull and dry. Great wine...

It's so misleading to attempt to perform a legitimate tasting of this kind of wine in the noise and disturbance and from a freshly opened bottle (and with plastic cups). One really has to extrapolate to imagine a point years in the future and guess.
