December 12, 2011 - A nice blend of varietals which produced a powerful punch. Wished I had consumed it a year or two ago. The punch was more in the heat than the fruit. Not wowed.

July 4, 2010 - Nice blend from Oz. Purple fruit, spice, oak, nice mellow finish...good wine for the money.

(Delisio Quarterback Red) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-some nice greenness (asparagus top & basil); also some plum action; good bright fruit; good richness coming through; TASTE-very deep and dark flavors; high tannin level; a little hot on the finish; good fruit though that kind of contains the high alcohol level; Grenache seems to be the dominant blend (strawberry w/ black pepper); the cabernet gives it some nice backbone; the merlot some freshness & fruit, while the shiraz adds boldness; a very well made wine, but the alcohol got away a little; nice structure; good fruit; quite delicious; a little hollow on the mid-palate; nice plum flavors initially and then strawberry & pepper on the back-end; a solid bottle; the alcohol may integrate w/ 3-5 years of cellaring; solid effort; JM-90/92; GV-89
