April 21, 2016 - Great wine for the $. Won't knock you over with complexity, but is lovely and balanced, dark cherry and mulberry fruits tempered by some forest floor complexity.

November 3, 2015 - Pure, beautiful wine this. It's all red cherries, some smoke, some twigs and some spice on the nose. The palate is light but with understated power (oh but it's there). On to the palate. Red fruits now, touch of rhubarb (whole bunch), but not overripe in any sense. Tannins subtle but there. Excellent length. Cranberry acidity is well integrated. And the QPR, well that's amazing.

August 16, 2014 - Black cherry cordial and cola. Meaty/yeasty (aged ?) character. Hard to describe. I really struggled to drink this. Bad bottle?

July 26, 2014 - While this is still great value Pinot, I've already had the Gippsland version of this wine a few times and this guy is definitely coming second compared to his big brother.

The nose is still deep and complex for a wine in this price range and the dark cherry and almost meaty notes really deliver, but it's just not quite as elegant.

The palette is quite bright and savoury, with briar and earth woking around the silky mouthfeel.

If you can get the Gippsland, buy that. If you can't, this is going to be just fine.

June 8, 2014 - A little more fruit forward than the Gippsland and Mornington versions of this wine, but still with a chalky minerality and musky florals. The palette is powerful with some big alcohol and acidity with some dark fruit at the finish.
