March 31, 2018 - Pnp. Nose has sweet black currant, new oak, and new oak. You can taste the sangiovese on the palate. Very smooth and juicy without being overhelming. 90-91

May 15, 2016 - Opened, decided not to decant, for 3 hours. Dark red. Dark cherry fruit with a wonderful lovely truffle/leather aroma. Full bodied with soft tannins and medium light acidity. Good length. Fantastic at the table with Wagyu hamburgers and a cheese plate. Sorry to hear the estate has been sold.

    April 15, 2014 - WIML90

Tasted non blind at a wine tasting.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of fertilizer, berries and raspberries. Flavors of berries, raspberries and cherries. Tangy acidity, firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with some air or continue to hold.

March 9, 2014 - This wine is ruby to garnet colored, clear and mostly translucent. The aromas are barnyard, cherry, coffee, tobacco, and tarry earth. The tastes are cherry, tobacco, cedar, anise, pepper, and black olive. The tannins are pretty stout and their is some nice acidity here with a long and drying finish. This wine is medium to weighty in body and would probably rock with a peppercorn steak.
