  • Brain Capers Likes this wine:

December 8, 2020 - Had over three nights, really nice aged Chardonnay, with the oak fully integrated. And held up nicely. Very Burgundian.

November 2, 2019 - At 8 years this is drinking well. Typo city high with apple hints on nose and still freshness on palate. Thankfully little sign of wood here. Wnjoyment

March 28, 2019 - agree with prior comments, butterscotch, oak, lemon, very pleasant, nice mouthfeel and good depth.

April 30, 2018 - Substantial character with age. Fun to drink. Gold color. Pinnaple, oak, lees, ripness (this is odd as 2011 was a cold year - Rattlesnake Hills must not have been). Butterscotch. If it had higher acidity I'd have scored it higher, but whatever.

March 12, 2017 - This was quite nice, round and full without being fat. Tastes of lemon, butter and quince, but everything is nice and balanced. Reminds me of very good pouilly-fuissé. This is drinking at its prime now. No reason to wait.

(Array Cellars Chardonnay Dijon Clone Otis Harlan Vineyard Yakima Valley) Coming from what is believed to be the state’s oldest Dijon clone, this is an immediately appealing wine with candy corn, summer squash, and light buttery notes. The palate has rich, textured fruit flavors with a creamy finish. 100% Chardonnay. Barrel fermented and aged in French oak (22% new) with full malolactic fermentation. 13.5% alcohol. 186 cases produced.
