May 11, 2024 - Mature and ready to drink. Starting to brick around the edges. Nose of sur bois, leather, tobacco and other tertiary armomas. On the palate it is sweet, but no heat can he detected from the warm 2009 vintage. Age has given it a leaner and refined structure. Tannins are in the background. Multilayered and joyful to drink. Perfect marriage of Cab and Sangiovese.

February 18, 2024 - Tannins were well integrated. Got better after an hour in decanter. Earthy tones and dark red cherry fruit with a touch of earth. Yummy. May not get better with time but damn good now.
