April 17, 2024 - A magnum donated from the Giaconda cellars. This was right in the zone. There’s some custard apple here and pure white peach. It has a suggestion of candied peel and plenty of spice. Great shape and texture and outstanding persistence.

September 25, 2021 - Most of the minerality has gone from the nose and the palate. Colour greenish-yellow. The wine is denser now, with melon tones and a rich mouthfeel.
It's a joy to see the evolution of this wine over the years, and a great pleasure to drink it now.

August 13, 2021 - Amazing colour - almost neon yellow-green. Very soft now, considerably different to earlier bottles. Still very enjoyable, but wasn't what I was expecting and I have marked it lower than previously.

July 9, 2021 - Still young so it does need decanting at least 30 minutes before drinking. Reductive upon opening, after an hour in the decanter, this blew away and that was when this wine revealed its true self. Bright fruits on the nose with some matchsticks characteristics, the body was most refined with endless power (acidity, oak etc.) and grace (orange, melon) with a beautiful finish. Perhaps it did not quite have the great complexity of the great Giaconda vintages but a very refined drop.
